Mathias Rüegg directed the Vienna Art Orchestra from the late 1970s until its closure in 2010 and is therefore a major figure in the Austrian Jazz scene. The Swiss musician left an Austrian mark on the European music world by combining the harmonic world of Jazz with the most eminent works of the entire music history.
